What to Look For (Everyone)
- Is the page clear and easy to navigate?
- Can information be understood without relying on images, color, or layout tricks?
- Does the page feel usable for everyone?
Why This Matters
MVCC is required under ADA Title II to ensure equal access to digital content. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard used to measure web accessibility.
Accessibility ensures everyone can access information — including people who use screen readers, keyboards, captions, or assistive technology.
How to Fix It (Editors)
Use this training site as guidance when building or updating pages.
Address accessibility during content creation, not after.
When unsure, ask before publishing.
Do / Don’t
DO
Treat accessibility as part of content quality.
DON’T
Assume visual appearance equals accessibility.
