Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provides broad nondiscrimination protection in employment, public services, and public accommodations for individuals with disabilities. The ADA is enforced by multiple federal agencies, primarily the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Justice (DOJ), state/local government services (Title II&III). Mohawk Valley Community College bans discrimination against individuals with disabilities throughout our college and is committed to providing equal access and opportunities to persons with disabilities, including education, employment, programs, services, and activities.
Mohawk Valley Community College follows Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA for digital content, focusing on equal access through accessible web pages, PDF guidelines, video captions, and accessible course materials, supported by state/federal laws.
