Fall Commencement exercises will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 at Dr. Michael I. Schafer Theater in Wilcox Hall at MVCC's Utica Campus for eligible December degree and certificate candidates. The Commencement speaker is 2023 Alumnus of Merit Brian Miller (MVCC Class of '79), New York State Assemblyman.

Caps and gowns may be picked up in the College Store on the Utica Campus beginning Monday, Dec. 4. A student ID will be required to obtain commencement attire. If you are unable to pick up your regalia in person, please contact the bookstore at bookstore@mvcc.edu to make other arrangements or questions regarding regalia.

Graduates should be at the Schafer Theater in Wilcox Hall by 2:30 p.m. Graduates will be directed to the Commencement Registration & Information Tables, which will be located in the lower level lobby, where graduates will pick up their Graduation Name Card. After picking up a Graduation Name Card, graduates will be directed into the lower level hallway, where they will look for wall posters indicating their academic major. A faculty member or Marshal will line graduates up in alphabetical order by School, Program, and Last Name (make sure not to lose your Graduation Name Card). And don’t worry about anything, Commencement Marshals will be on-site if you need any assistance. This is a time to celebrate!

Guests of graduates should enter the Francis A. Wilcox Hall Entrance. Tickets are required. Please have your ticket ready from your graduate in order to gain access into Schafer Theater. Each graduate is limited to no more than 3 people. For those outside the area, you may want to log on to www.oneidacountytourism.com for information on hotels, restaurants, attractions and events in our area.

We look forward to seeing graduates walk across stage and best wishes as you complete your studies at MVCC!
