Mission Statement of MVCC Foundation
The Mohawk Valley Community College Foundation was established in 1966 to secure private sector support to supplement and enhance public funding at Mohawk Valley Community College. The Foundation is a 501 c(3), nonprofit corporation that solicits, accepts, manages, invests and distributes contributions and communicates with donors and prospects regularly. It serves as a repository for all private, non-governmental gifts and support received on behalf of the college.
The MVCC Foundation has embarked on it's first Major Gifts campaign. The Challenge and Opportunity Campaign seeks to raise $7 million.
Donations will be invested in four critical initiatives to move our community forward.
Creating Student Opportunity
We will grow scholarships that make college affordable for more students and their families. Together we'll help more people get an education here in the Mohawk Valley.
We will extend education's reach to an increasingly diverse, challenged population. This will present opportunities for college success to people who never thought they'd have the chance.
Revitalizing Our Economy
We will help the region become more economically competitive by expanding our capacity to train the workforce of tomorrow. This will help the Mohawk Valley overcome economic challenges.
The Educational Excellence Fund
This fund will keep MVCC ahead of the curve and enhance our agility and responsiveness to changing community needs.
