Shuttle Bus
MVCC will provide transportation between the Rome and Utica campuses, and the Rome Campus A&P hanger, for residence hall students who are enrolled in the following programs based on the Rome Campus; Airframe and Powerplant Technology, Surgical Technology, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, or Hospitality. Non-residence hall students may use the shuttle as space allows. Transit time is estimated at 30 minutes one way.
Pick up/drop off on the Utica Campus will be at the Bellamy Hall Parking Lot entrance and pick up/drop off on the Rome Campus will be at the north entrance outside of the library. The shuttle will also stop at the A&P Hanger. The shuttle will arrive 5 minutes prior to departure.
Students must show their MVCC ID or a state issued identification card. It is also expected that students will adhere to public transportation etiquette at all times of their ridership. This includes, but is not limited to, not leaving any trash inside the vehicle, maintaining personal hygiene, keeping eating and drinking to a minimum and refrain from engaging in any distracting behavior.
The contracted company is named APEX and will visibly display a company sign for student safety. If the vehicle does not say APEX, it is not the shuttle. A rider log will be maintained to include rider name, date, time, and destination.
For questions or concerns on MVCC’s transportation, please contact Utica Campus Student Engagement Office by emailing shuttlebus@mvcc.edu or calling 315-792-5386. For transportation urgent matters, call Public Safety at 315-731-5777.
