At MVCC, we prioritize our employees' well-being by offering platinum health insurance coverage, dental and prescription coverage, and vision coverage at no cost based on union representation. We also provide long-term disability and life insurance at no cost based on union representation. In addition, we offer flexible spending and dependent care spending accounts. As a SUNY institution, we offer our employees a robust retirement system with the option to choose from the Employee Retirement System or the Optional Retirement Program, with the college contributing and a 5-year vesting period. We also offer voluntary retirement plans, including 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
We understand the importance of balancing work and personal life. That's why eligible employees can enjoy up to two remote work days per week based on job responsibilities and union representation. We also offer flexible work hours based on job responsibilities and union representation. Our Employee Assistance Program provides free counseling, performance coaching, wellness coaching, over 8,000 eLearning opportunities, and assistance for personal, financial, and legal issues. Our Wellness Council provides healthy lifestyle opportunities, and all employees have free access to our campus fitness center.
Generous Paid Time Off & Holidays
We value our employees' time and offer up to 15 holidays per year based on union representation. We also provide the opportunity to work paid holidays when the College is open and bank additional vacation days based on union representation. Designated holidays between Christmas and New Year are also available based on union representation. Competitive paid vacation days and sick time are also offered based on union representation.
