This spring, Mohawk Valley Community College will host two sports clinics for the community — a Lacrosse Clinic for kids and a Golf Clinic in Short Game Fundamentals for all skill levels.
The Lacrosse Clinic, designed for boys and girls ages 7-16, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the Robert R. Jorgensen Center Field House at MVCC’s Utica Campus. During this clinic, led by MVCC Head Lacrosse Coach Nick Evanoff, kids will learn proper cradling, passing, and shooting techniques. Boys are required to have a lacrosse stick, helmet, and gloves; girls must have a lacrosse stick and goggles. Tickets are $20 for the public, $15 for MVCC employees, and free for MVCC students.
Golf Clinic: Short Game Fundamentals, led by Dustin Jones, PGA Professional and Owner of Hole in One Golf Center, will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in the Jorgensen Center Field House at the Utica Campus. It will provide instruction in putting, chipping, and pitching, and all skill levels are welcome. Tickets, which are limited, cost $30 for the public, $20 for MVCC employees, and are free for MVCC students.
