- Feb. 28: Running Effective Meetings and Decision Making
- March 14: Board Building and Placement
- March 28: Strategic Directions

Sessions will be held via Zoom from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $40 per person per session, and participants can register for one session or the entire series. Scholarships are available, thanks to the Mele Family Fund at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. The scholarship application deadline is Feb. 7. Neighborhoods Rising
Neighborhoods Rising will run from February to June. This leadership and empowerment cohort experience is designed to provide Black and Latinx adults with enhanced leadership capacity and skills to address ongoing and emerging community development changes. Over the course of 10 evening sessions, participants will discover their “why” — the deeply personal catalyst that drives their passion to lead, expand their understanding of the principles of grassroots leadership, develop strategies to expand social capital, cultivate working relationships with community leaders, and build their networks and personal narrative to support their ambition of making a positive difference in the community. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Jan. 24. Tuition is free to all participants, thanks to the support of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation.
