Mohawk Valley Community College will host an Athletic Open House and Preview Day on Sunday, Dec. 11, at its Utica Campus to provide an opportunity for prospective student-athletes and their families to learn what MVCC has to offer on the field and in the classroom. The event will begin with check-in at 10:30 a.m. in the Jorgensen Center Field House. The program will begin at 11 with a welcome and overview of MVCC’s Hawks Athletics program — which includes eight sports for men (Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Track & Field) and nine for women (Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball).
Event schedule
- 10:30-11 a.m.: Arrival at the Jorgensen Athletic/Event Center; light refreshments
- 11-11:15 a.m.: Welcoming remarks from MVCC Athletic Director Dom DiMaggio and Head Baseball Coach Dave Warren
- 11:15-11:45 a.m.: Admissions presentation
- 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Campus tours
- 12:30-1 p.m.: Meet-and-greet with MVCC coaches; pizza served for lunch
- 1 p.m.: Attendees are invited to stay for the MVCC Men's and Women's Basketball Doubleheader (optional)
