Actor, comedian, and master of celebrity impressions Jay Pharoah will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica. Tickets for the event, part of the MVCC Cultural Series, cost $25 for the public and $15 for MVCC employees (free for MVCC students), and are available for purchase at www.mvcc.edu/tickets.
The multitalented artist, a six-season alum of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” is best known for his uncanny impressions of celebrities like Denzel Washington, Kanye West, Will Smith, President Barack Obama, and Chris Tucker. Recently, Pharoah has taken on leading roles in films such as the comedy-horror “The Blackening,” the comedy “Out of Office,” drama/thriller “Private Property,” and the romantic comedy “Resort to Love.” He also is known for voicing various roles in animated TV series, including “Family Guy,” “The Simpsons,” “BoJack Horseman,” “Robot Chicken,” and “SuperMansion.” He also is known for his roles in the Showtime series “White Famous,” Steven Soderbergh’s horror-drama “Unsane,” and the 2020 comedy “2 Minutes of Fame.”
