Mohawk Valley Community College’s Education Outreach Center (EOC) is offering an eight-week Empowerment Program, funded by the Anti-Gun Violence Grant, beginning Thursday, March 3. The course runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays at the EOC, 524 Elizabeth St., Utica or via Zoom for unvaccinated students. Students will receive a stipend for attending.

Throughout this program, EOC staff will assist students in developing skills needed to live an empowered adult life, including de-escalation, decision making, positive parenting, conflict resolution, and self-esteem.
