The Mohawk Valley Community College Cultural Series will host two 90-minute workshops on Brush Pen Lettering with Sarah Dustin of the Adirondack Ink. The workshops are scheduled as follows:
- Fall Edition: 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19; Dining and Community Hall, Plumley Complex, Rome Campus
- Holiday Edition: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1; Wilcox Hall room 225, Utica Campus
Each workshop will teach participants the art of brush pen lettering, a calligraphy-like style of lettering with the convenience of brush pen markers. Participants will be guided step-by-step in learning to create their own alphabet and connecting letters into words, then will tackle their own final project to take home. The cost for each workshop is $20 general and $10 for MVCC employees. Brush pens and materials will be supplied. Seats are limited; reserve your spot in advance at www.mvcc.edu/tickets.
All visitors coming to campus are required to wear a mask, practice social distancing, check in at the campus checkpoint (Alumni College Center 116 in Utica and Plumley Complex in Rome), and follow all guidelines and protocols outlined in the MVCC Responsible Restart Plan, which can be found at www.mvcc.edu/restart.
