The Mohawk Valley Community College Anime Club is looking for panelists, vendors, workshop presenters, and artists for its second annual Taka-Con, a convention for fans of anime, comics, cosplay, gaming, and all things “nerdy,” being held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at MVCC’s Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive.

Organizers are looking for panelists to present one-hour workshops on related topics. The workshops should be interesting, interactive, and able to be done in a classroom setting (computers and projectors will be available). They also are seeking gamemasters to run various types of games that may last from two to four hours, including board games or role-playing games. Gamemasters should be prepared to bring their own materials, aiming to include four to eight participants.

Vendors and artists also are needed to display and sell their materials from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vendor pricing is $30 for a single 6-foot table with two chairs, and $50 for a 10x10 space that includes a 6-foot table and two chairs. For full consideration and to be included in the original printed programs, please apply by March 22. To participate, please sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/taka-panelvend.
