Mohawk Valley Community College is seeking artwork for its annual High School Exhibition, which is open to local high school seniors. Only two-dimensional pieces will be accepted, and work can be from the student’s junior year.

The exhibition is juried, with the first-place winner receiving the Francis A. Wilcox Memorial Presidential Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship to MVCC. Second-place will receive $500, and third-place will receive $250. Winners will be announced in December.

The deadline for submission is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Artwork can be dropped off at the School of Arts office in Academic Building room 202 at MVCC’s Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive. Please include a label with your name, school, and instructor, as well as the medium you used to create the piece. The exhibit will open with a reception at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in the glass cases on the second floor of the Academic Building at MVCC’s Utica Campus, and will close on Friday, Dec. 13. Artwork will be available for pickup in the School of Arts office after the closing.
