Mohawk Valley Community College will host its Fall Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center Field House on the Utica Campus at 1101 Sherman Drive.
“Open House is a tremendous opportunity for students interested in learning more about MVCC to get a close up look at the College, meet faculty in their areas of study and staff who are dedicated to student success, whether it is in career exploration, job readiness, or transfer to a four-year institution,” says Dan Ianno, director of Admissions at MVCC. “Students and their families can explore all that MVCC has to offer, from our academic programs in everything from engineering and cybersecurity to fine arts, as well as our diverse athletic programs for men and women.”
Visitors will have the chance to meet with MVCC faculty, staff, and students to talk about academic programs, see demonstrations, find out about our student support services and clubs, reach out to athletic coaches, and tour the Utica Campus, including the residence halls, dining halls, classrooms, and labs. There also will be a session on Residence Life for those interested in living on campus. MVCC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education also will be on hand to talk about noncredit courses for professional development, personal wellness, and leisure learning.
Check-in will begin at 9:45 a.m. in the lobby outside the Field House, but visitors are welcome to arrive any time during the Open House. Refreshments will be available. Registration is recommended, but not required to attend. To register, visit www.mvcc.edu/openhouse.
