The Mohawk Valley Institute for Learning in Retirement’s (MVILR) is hosting a spring open house from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 17, at its new location on Mohawk Valley Community College’s Rome Campus, 1101 Floyd Ave. Immediately following the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to see an example of MVILR special event programming. Dr. Ken Hall, Chief Physician Executive at Mohawk Valley Health System, will present “Developing the MVHS Clinical Campus” in the Festine Auditorium. Both events are free.

The open house offers the opportunity for the community to learn more about MVILR, a non-profit organization that provides local retirees with rich learning opportunities, including speakers, special programs, and a variety of non-credit courses taught by volunteer facilitators, members, and guest professionals.

Attendees also will have the chance to meet current MVILR members, tour classrooms and state-of-the-art special event spaces, learn about MVILR memberships, and talk to facilitators about the classes they are teaching this spring.

Registration for spring classes is currently underway. For more information, visit mvcc.edu/mvilr or contact the MVILR Office by emailing spiccione@mvcc.edu or calling 315-334-7761. For COVID-19 restrictions, please reference: mvcc.edu/restart.
