Ross Wittenberg, an instructor in the School of Business and Hospitality at Mohawk Valley Community College, is now authorized to administer the QuickBooks Certified User Exam, providing an opportunity for students to earn an industry-recognized credential in the leading bookkeeping application in small business today.
Wittenberg now can administer the QuickBooks Certified User Exam to students taking Computerized Accounting Systems (AC127) at MVCC. The certification program helps educators effectively teach QuickBooks using an easy-to-understand platform for students to grasp concepts while honing their accounting skills and remaining current with industry trends. Certification not only validates students’ technical abilities and knowledge necessary for an accounting career, but also demonstrates marketable skills that will give them an advantage in the job market.
Wittenberg, who teaches accounting and business courses, joined the MVCC faculty in 2019 after moving from Texas, where he had worked as a high school business education teacher. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting — both from American University.
