Students in Mohawk Valley Community College Hospitality programs are back in the kitchen, preparing Wednesday lunches for the public to purchase for takeout, complete with curbside pickup at MVCC’s Rome Campus, 1101 Floyd Ave.

For the Fall 2021 semester, takeout lunches will be available on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 13, 20, 27; Nov. 3, 10, 17; and Dec. 1. Each lunch will consist of a sandwich, choice of two sides, dessert, and a bottle of water, all for $12. The menu options are:

Sandwiches: 

  • Shrimp Po’Boy
  • Pulled Chicken BBQ
  • Chicken Salad
  • Rachel
  • Vegetable Wrap

Sides:

  • Sweet Potato Fries
  • BBQ Beans
  • Coleslaw
  • Broccoli Salad
  • Salt Potatoes
  • Mexican Corn
  • Soup of the Day

MVCC’s Hospitality programs include degrees in Culinary Arts Management and Food Service Administration: Restaurant Management, and a certificate in Chef Training. Each semester, students in these programs host a series of lunches or dinners, allowing them a creative outlet to practice what they learn in class.
