Mohawk Valley Community College’s Respiratory Care Associate in Applied Science degree program has earned the Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialing Success Award for the second time, a recognition through the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoArc) of the College’s success in inspiring its graduates to reach their career goals.

Programs receiving the award were required to have three of more years of outcomes data, hold accreditation without a progress report, have documented RRT credentialing success of 90% or above, and meet or exceed established CoARC thresholds for Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialing success and retention.

“We recognize the awesome responsibility we possess to produce our community’s next generation of quality healthcare practitioners who are intelligent, caring, and dedicated to their professions,” said Melissa Copperwheat, MVCC’s dean of the School of Health Sciences. “This award most specifically represents the sustained strength of MVCC’s Respiratory Care program, and more generally highlights the College’s commitment to offering exceptional health science programs.”
