Mohawk Valley Community College’s Center for Corporate and Community Education has launched a Google IT Support Professional Certificate program to give individuals an opportunity to gain a middle-skill information technology career and provide students with an industry-driven credential in one year or less.

The program is comprised of five courses: Technical Support Fundamentals; The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking; Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Better Power User; System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services; and IT Security: Defense Against the Digital Darks.

The courses are taught by Frank DuRoss Jr. and runs 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 18 through May 28 (no class Feb. 20) at MVCC’s Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive. Enrollment is limited to 20 students and the program cost is $799.
