However, the ethics of AI deserve our attention. Join a conversation about issues
like privacy, copyright, bias, preserving and enhancing humanity, and the environmental
impacts of AI. Explore what we can do to become more ethical users of AI, and what

Neurodiversity in the Classroom

Beyond Accommodations: Supporting Students with Disabilities

Join us for this workshop during which we will explore practical methods to enhance
accessibility for students with disabilities in your classes. The tools, activities,
and practices discussed are designed to help all students learn more effectively.
We will provide tips and resources for accommodations related to mobility impairments,
neurodiversity, and auditory and visual disabilities. The facilitators of this workshop
participated in a three -day in-person training event in June 2023 titled Facilitating
Accessibility in STEM for Students with Disabilities at Two-Year Colleges. This work
is partially supported by the National Science Foundation under Grants 2228226 and
2212807.

Managing Difficult Conversations Inside and Outside of the Classroom

This semester I dove into specifications grading, where part of the goal was to make
sure that my students actually accomplished the SLOs by creating all or nothing assignments
for important outcomes, and asking them to submit multiple times until they finally
