I’m Dr. Karey Pine, Vice President for Student Affairs. I’m here to help make sure you feel supported, connected, and confident throughout your MVCC experience. Our goal is to help you find the resources, opportunities, and people you need to succeed in and beyond the classroom.

Campus Access & Communications

Know how MVCC will reach you and what you need on campus.

A few essentials go a long way at the start of the semester, especially if you're taking classes on campus or using student services regularly.

Student ID

If you're taking in-person classes, attending labs, or using campus services, you'll need a Student ID.

Students must present identification when asked by a College official.

Messages from the Vice President for Student Affairs with subject lines such as Bulletin, Safety Bulletin, and Important Information may contain important policy, procedure, or safety information and should be read.

Look for this monthly one-page publication in campus restrooms for quick updates on College policies, practices, and resources.

Emergency Alerts

Students are automatically enrolled in MVCC Emergency Alert notifications for emergencies, weather closures, and safety information.

College-Community Connection — C3

C3 helps connect students with resources including transportation, food access, childcare, housing, employment assistance, and other needs.

Counseling Services

Licensed counselors provide confidential, free support for personal challenges, life transitions, academic stress, and other concerns.

Counseling services are free and confidential, and appointments may be offered in person or through telehealth.

Student Wellbeing

Watch for weekly wellness communication from the Health & Wellness Center with information about doctor or RN availability, clinic updates, wellness programs, and additional opportunities.

Health Insurance Help

Proof of insurance is not required. The Health & Wellness Center can connect you with a navigator to explore insurance options.

Tutoring works — and it's free.

Tutoring is available on campus and online, and appointments can be booked digitally and synced with Outlook.

Centro continues expanded service between Utica and Rome along with existing local service.

Students with scheduling questions or questions about available financial assistance can contact the C3 office in the Wilcox Hall Learning Commons.
