Tea Leaf Consulting (TLC), a division of Mohawk Valley Community College (New York's first Community College), is an intellectual speakers' bureau and consulting firm, representing thinkers, doers, motivators and educators for speaking engagements and consults at colleges, small businesses, and corporations in Central New York and beyond. As a social enterprise, Tea Leaf Consulting is a commercial venture that advances a social good.

Tea Leaf Consulting was founded, and is overseen, by a higher education events administrator with one goal in mind – making the process easier for people by providing tender loving care (TLC).

We offer a comprehensive roster of the most dynamic thinkers, doers, and educators in the fields of science & technology, politics, athletics, entertainment, the arts, education, health and wellness, business, culture, team building, data analysis, marketing and branding, and more.

Tea Leaf Consulting provides innovative ideas and solutions to our clients. We work with event managers to deliver the most appropriate and engaging personalities and collaborates to develop dynamic presentations and consults that enlighten and inspire.

The reason

As a social enterprise, Tea Leaf Consulting is a commercial venture that advances a social good – in this case the Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) Foundation. All operating expenses are provided as venture capital from the MVCC Foundation and 100% of all profits are returned in kind to support the needs of students and the College through scholarships, equipment, and unrestricted funds.

Building on the talents and capacity of MVCC employees, students, and many dear colleagues, our success is based on the fact that we can provide unique customized programs and services at prices that our clients can afford.
