Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24. You can call, text, chat, or ask questions.

Parents, Family, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG)

Founded in 1972 with the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the original ally organization. Made up of parents, families, friends, and straight allies uniting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education and advocacy. Now in its 40th anniversary year, PFLAG has over 350 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities and rural areas in all 50 states. - See more at:

National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force aims to eliminate challenges faced by LGBT people on campuses and the group has published a campus guide to help schools create safe environments for LGBT students through things like staff training, nondiscrimination policies and sex education. With guides like this, The Task Force hopes to help LGBT students have the complete college experience, which includes excelling in academics as well as being able to participate in campus extracurricular without facing discrimination.

Campus Pride

Campus Pride provides on online resource for LGBT students and allies including leadership development and support programs to create more LGBT-friendly colleges and universities. By creating student leaders and having campus networks across the U.S., Campus Pride hopes that one day all campuses will be free of anti-LGBT prejudice, bigotry and hate.
