Mohawk Valley Community College’s Board Trustee David Mathis was elected as vice chair of the Association of Community College Trustees Board of Directors at its 2018 Leadership Congress in New York City in October. As such, he will chair the Member Communications Committee and the Education Committee, and will serve on the Executive Committee. He also is serving his second term as northeast regional director and previously held a term as secretary/treasurer to the Executive Committee.
“David’s commitment to MVCC is remarkable,” said MVCC President Randall J. VanWagoner. “His leadership and involvement at the state and national level fosters a board culture of stability and innovation that helps MVCC serve the community and our students in meaningful ways.”
