MVCC to host Fall Commencement ceremony December 20
Dr. Sherry Anne Lints graduated in the top 10 of her high school class, overcoming the physical obstacle of a bilateral hearing and speech impairment. Deciding to pursue a career in holistic medicine and natural healing, Lints went on to graduate with honors from New York Chiropractic College in 1998, after attending MVCC and Utica College of Syracuse University.
Lints founded Better Health Chiropractic and has been serving the community since July 1999. She is also very involved in community events and speaks regularly at student programs, such as the “Dream, Dare, Do” program, as well as other health and wellness events throughout the region. Lints also enjoys sharing her love of music and drama in area churches and coffeehouses. She recently appeared in two films and a Canadian TV show, where she sang a song from her self-titled debut CD. Songs from her current CD, “Keep on Prayin’,” can be heard on radio stations across the globe.
Licensed in three states, Lints is certified as a fitness trainer and holds many certifications and professional memberships, including serving as an advisor at Utica College’s Committee for Health Professions, as well as serving on MVCC’s Distinguished Alumni Panel. She has worked with a variety of people from a multitude of backgrounds, ranging from artists in the recording industry to gospel legends, fitness professionals, and even Hollywood celebrities.
Lints has been featured in the Observer-Dispatch as the winner of the Accent on Excellence Award for Mohawk Valley Leaders under 40, the Rome Observer, the Utica Phoenix and the Life and Times newspaper.
