MVCC to host Adult Student Information Sessions in Utica and Rome
Mohawk Valley Community College will host several information sessions for returning adult students this summer.
The sessions are geared toward all adults interested in associate degrees, certificate programs or other offerings, and will be scheduled to accommodate busy schedules. Prospective students need only attend one of the following sessions:
Wednesday, July 11: 1:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. on the Rome Campus, 1101 Floyd Ave,
Plumley Complex Auditorium.
Wednesday, July 18: 1:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. on the Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive, Information Technology Building Room 225.
Sessions will provide information on Admissions and the application process, academic programs, MVCC’s Adult Learner Services Office, and financial aid and scholarships.
Attendees are encouraged to register online at www2.mvcc.edu/forms/admissions/adult/ or by calling 315-792-5326. Walk-ins are also welcome.
“More than 2,100 of our students are 25 or older, and they accomplish all kinds of things at MVCC,” says Dan Ianno, Director of Admissions. “Some are here to quickly earn a degree that will help them change careers. Others need a course or two to perform better or be promoted in their current jobs. Still others are dislocated workers or adults finishing a college degree they started years ago. Whatever they need, our adult learners find degree programs and support services tailor-made for them at MVCC.”
