Human Calculator to speak at MVCC

Scott Flansburg, known as the Human Calculator, will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, in Schafer Theater, Information Technology Building, at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive. Admission is $5 general, $2 for MVCC employees, and free for MVCC students.

Flansburg is an educator, speaker, Guinness World Record holder, bestselling author, and host of “The Human Calculator” on History Channel International. He is dedicated to helping both students and adults overcome their fears related to numbers and arithmetic. He believes everyone has the ability to do mental math and is on a mission to help everyone feel comfortable and confident with numbers in everyday life. Learn more about him at scottflansburg.com.

Tickets for all Cultural Series events can be purchased in person at the MVCC Box Office, Information Technology Building room 106, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday, and at the College Stores on the Utica and Rome Campuses; online any time at www.mvcc.edu/tickets; or over the phone by calling 315-731-5721. Most Cultural Series events are $5 or less to the general public and many are free. Events include concerts, comedians, lectures, film screenings and discussions, workshops, family fun events, and more.
