Housing for Non-MVCC Students & Area Interns

Each year the MVCC Dormitory Corporation offers a summer housing program which provides economical housing for MVCC students who, although not taking summer classes, plan to attend classes in the upcoming academic year. In addition non–MVCC students coming to the area for educational reasons (such as an internship), may apply to live in the Residence Halls. If accepted, payment is due before check–in.


Dates of Occupancy

The 2017 non-student housing program runs from May 29th to August 12th. Residents may move into the Residence Halls on Monday, May 29th. All Residence Hall rules and regulations will be observed as stated in the Student Handbook.


The cost is $95.00 per week, in advance, per person for a double room or $125 per week for a single. There is no daily rate.

Meal Service

A kitchen, including a microwave, small food preparation area and stove/oven is available for your use in the Residence Hall to prepare simple meals and snacks. Personal refrigerators must be "UL" approved and not exceed 2.7 cubic feet. Microwaves are allowed in the Gathering Room only and may not exceed 1.1 cubic feet. 

How to Reserve Housing: Application & Deposit

  • Download and Complete a Summer Resident Application
  • RETURN APPLICATION WITH A $100 DEPOSIT.  If you are an area intern, include a letter from your sponsor verifying your internship.  If your confirmation is via email from your internship, you may forward it to
  • Check the e-mail listed on your application for your housing confirmation
  • Make payment PRIOR to arrival
