Auguries and DivinationsSep 10, 2013, 1:00 PM to Oct 4, 2013
James D’Andrea's exhibit "Auguries and Divinations" represents 20 years of drawing and discovery focusing specifically on beauty. Attempting to bridge the conscious present with the subconscious past, D'Andrea creates visual works that highlight the marks that life makes. Memory and nostalgia are employed to imagine what the future brings by reconstructing the beauty of the past.
D’Andrea has an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in Figurative Drawing and a BFA from FIT in Illustration and Arts Education. He has a wide range of teaching experience from public and private schools to collegiate instruction at the College of St. Rose in Albany, and community classes at the Saratoga County Arts Council. His work is included in private collections around the world.
