Who are we and what do we do?

The MVCC Foundation is soliciting donations of selected aircraft and aircraft parts on behalf of an innovative and well-respected program the College offers. The Foundation was organized in 1966 to solicit and accept donations from the private sector, including regular donations of aircraft and aircraft parts. The Foundation does so to enhance the public funding available to MVCC and provide MVCC students with resources for unique training embedded in various certificate programs, including the FAA-accredited (Certificate #VXYT570K) Airframe and Powerplant Technology Certificate Program.

Program Overview

MVCC has been one of the leading educational institutions for aviation maintenance technology needs since it began offering the program in 2006. The program is currently structured as a one-year/three-semester, full-time program. Up to 25 new students attend each semester. The completion rate is very high at 80 percent of enrolled students.

The program provides students with significant hands-on experience with aircraft and equipment at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, N.Y. It offers students the unique experience of working on MVCC's operational fleet, which includes a Boeing 717-100, two Gulfstream GII business jets, a Bombardier Challenger 600, a twin engine Cessna 310, Piper PA-28-140, OH-58 Helicopter, and additional aircraft frames, engines, and other equipment.
