Bridging Career Readiness Gaps with Digital Badges
Presenter(s): Sara Miller & Vince Petronio
Students now have the opportunity to learn skills outside (or embedded within) credit-bearing
classes and can earn digital badges in the process. These badge workshop series are
designed to enhance the professional preparation in curriculum with the professional
skills and knowledge our students need and employers want. Once complete, students
can then display their digital badges on a resume or LinkedIn page. In this workshop,
we will discuss the Career Development Center, School of Business and Hospitality,
School of Public and Human Services, and Human Resources collaboration that became
the Professional Skills in Hospitality Badge Series.
