Letter to Graduate
Have You Applied?
APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION: This should have been done earlier this semester.
If graduates have not completed this application (or are not sure if this has been completed), they must do so immediately in:
- Utica Campus: Registrar’s Office - Payne Hall Student Service Center
- Rome Campus: Registrar/Business Office - Plumley Complex
- Online: http://www.mvcc.edu/registrar/pdf/graduation
On Friday, May 11 at 4:00 p.m. Commencement exercises will be held for the Class of 2018 at the Adirondack Bank Center at Utica Memorial Auditorium, 400 Oriskany Street West, Utica, NY for all degree and certificate candidates; December, May, and August. The Commencement speaker has not been determined as of yet.
Graduates should be at the Utica Memorial Auditorium by 3 p.m. In the upper level (entrance level) of the Aud, graduates will be directed to the Commencement Registration & Information Tables where graduates will pick up their Graduation Name Card. After picking up a Graduation Name Card, graduates will then be directed to the lower concourse/level where they will look for wall posters indicating their academic major. A faculty member or Marshal will line graduates up in alphabetical order by School/Program/Last Name (make sure not to lose your Graduation Name Card). And don’t worry about anything, Commencement Marshals will be on-site should you need any assistance. This is a time to celebrate!
ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE IN CAP & GOWN, IN PROPER ORDER BY 3:45 p.m.
Guests of graduates should go to their seats on the upper level (no tickets are required).
Immediately following the exercises at the Adirondack Bank Center at Utica Memorial Auditorium, graduates and their family are invited to return to campus for a reception in their honor. This will begin immediately following the ceremony in the Alumni College Center on MVCC's Utica Campus.
For those outside the area, you may want to log on to http://www.oneidacountycvb.com for information on hotels, restaurants, attractions and events in our area.
