Letter to Graduate

On Thursday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m., December Commencement exercises will be held at the Field House in Robert R. Jorgensen Athletic/Event Center located on MVCC's Utica campus, for eligible degree and certificate candidates; August 2016 and December 2016.  The Commencement speaker is Roberto G. "Rob" Angelicola, Class of 1982.

Graduates should be at the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center by 2:30 PM.  Graduates will be directed to the Commencement Registration & Information Tables, which will be located in the main/performance gymansium lobby, where graduates will pick up their Graduation Name Card.  After picking up a Graduation Name Card, graduates will then be directed into the gymnasium where they will look for wall posters indicating their academic major.  A faculty member or Marshal will line graduates up in alphabetical order by Department/Program/Last Name (make sure not to lose your Graduation Name Card).  And don’t worry about anything, Commencement Marshals will be on-site should you need any assistance.  This is a time to celebrate!

Guests of graduates should find seats in the bleacher section of the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center/Field House (no tickets are required, but students are asking to limit their guests to no more than 5 people).

Immediately following the exercises at the Robert R. Jorgensen Athletic/Event Center, graduates and their family are invited to a reception in their honor. This will take place in the lobby of the Alumni College Center on MVCC's Utica Campus.

For those outside the area, you may want to log on to for information on hotels, restaurants, attractions and events in our area.

I look forward to seeing graduates walk across stage and best wishes as you complete your studies at MVCC!
