Non-Credit Training for Lead Renovators
MVCC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education is now accepting registrations for courses in Lead Safety for Fall 2012.
Lead Renovators Initial Course
As of April 22, 2010, all contractors or landlords working in pre-1978 housing, schools, or child-occupied facilities are required to obtain an EPA firm license and have their workers trained in lead-safe work practices. This 8-hour initial certification course is required for any renovators without previous training to become a certified lead-safe contractor. Bring a pen, pencil and paper; all other materials are provided. The course concludes with a 25-question exam. Students should also bring a lunch. All classes take place from 8:15am – 5:15pm. Registration cost is $195.
