Information Session for Medical Transcription Training on March 7

MVCC’s Center for Corporate and Community Education announces an upcoming information session for pursuing a career in Medical Transcription with non-credit online training at Mohawk Valley Community College.
The information session will take place on Thursday, March 7 at 6pm on the MVCC Utica Campus, IT Building, room 225. All are welcome.
Medical Transcription & Editing Online
The Medical Transcription Editor online training program helps students develop the knowledge and skills of quality medical transcriptionists in addition to the specialized skill set of medical transcription editors. Students focus on keyboarding, medical terminology, language and grammar, and the editing skills required to work with speech recognition technology. Sign up today and receive a free laptop or a $325 discount on the course! Offer expires on April 30, 2013. This class is entirely online and self paced. On average, the coursework involved in this program totals approximately 640 hours or 12 hours per week. Graduate support is also included to help students get ready for the workforce. The cost is $2580 and includes all course materials.

Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday. All MVCC non-credit instruction is completely self-supporting, including indirect costs, and requires no public funding.
