Advisor-in-Residence Visits

Our Advisor-in-Residence programs allows interested institutions the opportunity to “set-up shop” in our Academic Building Lobby or at a desk in our Transfer Services office in ACC102 to talk with students/faculty/staff about their institutions and programs they offer. Many of our students will stop by and look at different transfer opportunities that particular school has to offer. If you are interested in coming to MVCC as part of our “Advisor-in-Residence” program, please contact Transfer Services at 315-731-5808.

Students, this is your opportunity to look at the different programs offered at various institutions. Even if you are not planning on transferring for a year or more, starting this process early will just make things much easier and smoother!

College Visit Trips

Every academic year, Transfer Services, in conjunction with various other offices on campus, sponsor trips to different four-year colleges and universities. It’s important to visit potential transfer institutions to get a feel for the campus and have a taste of what it might be like to be a student there. Check with the Transfer Services office for upcoming trips or suggest a campus to visit!

Instant Admit Days

Instant Admit Days are designed to give you the opportunity to sit down with a transfer counselor from the participating school and, based on their review, receive your acceptance letter on the spot! To participate in our Instant Admit Days, you are strongly encouraged to make an appointment. Each appointment is 30 minutes and will take place in the Transfer Services office. To schedule an appointment, please call 315-792-5326 or stop by!

Transfer Fairs

Once each semester, Transfer Services coordinates a transfer fair that brings anywhere from 55 to 70 different four-year colleges and universities from around New York and surrounding states. These transfer fairs allow our students the opportunity to interact with the transfer professionals from various institutions and ask pertinent questions to help them decide what schools to which they will apply.
