Application Process

First Time in College

  • Complete the application  (please note: Once you begin the online application you should complete it. You cannot go back and change any items if you navigate away from the page)

  • Submit official High School Transcripts (sealed from the HS and unopened by anyone but a representative of MVCC) or copy of your GED & any military records such as your DD214, ARTS, or SMARTS transcripts directly to the admissions office.

  • If you are a non-high school graduate, non-native English speaker, or do not have your GED, MVCC may still be able help you obtain your educational goals. Please contact Admissions for further assistance.

  • Once accepted to the college, schedule a placement test

  • Obtain and submit your Health Form & Immunization records (MMR) (For students born before January 1st, 1957 immunization records are not required but you must submit the health form and show proof of your date of birth.)


Previously Attended MVCC

A formal application to the college is not necessary. Please visit the Student Support Center in Payne Hall 104 to complete the re-matriculation (re-activation of your student record) process. It is during this time that if you desire you can change your major. If you have attended other colleges or the military since attending MVCC, you will need to provide the college with official copies (sealed from the institution and unopened by anyone but a representative of MVCC) of your transcripts if you expect to receive transfer credits.

 

Transfer Students

  • Complete the application (please note: Once you begin the online application you should complete it. You cannot go back and change any items if you navigate away from the page)

  • Submit official transcripts (sealed from the institution and unopened by anyone but a representative of MVCC) to the admissions office.

  • You should submit all transcripts from any institution you wish to try and obtain transfer credit for including military service. If you have completed a college degree, high school transcripts/proof of GED is not required.

  • Once accepted, schedule a placement test Depending on transfer credits earned, this step may not be necessary.)
