This course is an introduction to creative applications of typography. Students will build upon the compositional concepts learned in Basic Graphic Design and color and Design, mastering a series of visual problems typographically. Historic and contemporary examples provide a basis for further exploration using a variety of media and compositional concepts. Students work in both traditional and digital media. Prerequisites: GC125 Color & Design and GC141 Digital Illustration.
