Head Coach: Marcia Laidlaw

Marcia LaidlawOne of the most recognizeable and successful coaches in the northeast, coach Laidlaw took over the Mohawk Valley Community College program in 1999 leading the Hawks to the Mountain Valley Conference Title five out of the past six years. MVCC has qualified for the NJCAA Region III Tournament the past six years, winning the title in 2003 and 2004. The Hawks qualified for Nationals in Rochester Minnesota the past two seasons placing fifth in 2004.Coach Laidlaw has been named Mountain Valley Conference "Coach of the Year" (1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004) and NJCAA Region III "Coach of the Year" (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004). Her overall record at MVCC is 41-1 in the conference and 152-41-9 overall.

Coach Laidlaw retired from Canastota High School in 2004 after 32 years of teaching physical education. Coach Laidlaw is currently the all-time small school female winningest coach in New York State with a 602-82 record in girls volleyball and finished her career with a 1,115-360 record for her varsity teams (track, field hockey and volleyball).
