Ismaila Konate has once again been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men´s Junior College Division III All-American Second Team (2006&2007).
2007 Season Summary
The Men´s Soccer Team, under the direction of head coach Bob Gould (29th season), finished their season with a 12-4-1 overall record. The Hawks were seeded fourth in the Region III Tournament. They won their quarter final regional match-up against SUNY Delhi 2-0. In the semi finals they were matched against the number one team in the Region, SUNY Cobleskill. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and were unable to break the deadlock through two overtime periods. They were eventually defeated in penalty kicks 4-3. The Hawks were led by Ismaila Konate; second team All-American, first team All-Region and All-Conference, Joel Almeida; first team All-Region, David Leigh; second team All-Region, first team All-Conference, and Colby Creedon; second team All-Region. Head Coach Bob Gould was selected as Co-Coach of the Year in both the Region and Conference by his peers.
