Head Coach: Robert Gould
Coach Gould started at MVCC as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach in 1979. In that time he gas taken eighteen teams to the Region III Soccer Tournament. The program has enjoyed much success under Coach Gould particularly during the past twelve (12) seasons. For 12 straight years the Hawks have advanced to the NJCAA Region III Quarter finals or better: six times to the final four and three times to the finals. Coach Gould’s teams over the past twenty five years own every school soccer statistical record. Gould has been recognized by his peers many times over his career including several “Coach of the Year” awards. Coach Gould obtained a B.S. Degree in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland where he was a standout soccer player. In 1973 he was selected as the team’s MVP as a stopper back. He then went on to receive his Masters degree from the University of North Carolina. Coach Gould served as an Assistant Coach for the Tar Heels as well as the Head Coach at Penn State University, Media campus before coming to MVCC. Coach Gould is also licensed by the U.S.S.F. He is a full time faculty member at MVCC as an Associate Professor in the Physical Education Department.
Assistant Coach: Dan Ianno
Mr. Dan Ianno is a 1993 New Hartford High School graduate where he was a standout soccer player. He attended MVCC for one year before transferring to Oswego State College where he earned a B.A. degree in History in 1997. Dan has been with the Men’s Soccer program since the fall of 1999. Mr. Ianno is a full time employee of MVCC as an admissions counselor. Coach Ianno currently resides in his home town of New Hartford.
