With the score 17-13 DuPage went on a 24-6 run to end the half over Gateway and cruised to a 90-36 victory. The Chaparrals were led by Theresa Larson's 20 points. The Gateway Lions were paced by Tiffany Baines with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

With the score tied 33-33 with 14:47 left in the game Passaic outscored Anne Arundel 18-2 over the next five minutes to take control of a close game. Nakeima Monroe led four Panthers in double figures with 17 points. The Pioneers of Anne Arundel were led by Janae Butler's 16 point 7 rebound performance.

Undefeated Monroe led coast to coast in route to a 71-60 hard fought victory over Ridgewater.  The Mustangs were led by Fantasia Goodwin's 28 points and 10 rebounds.  The Warriors of Ridgewater were paced by Terra Billet who scored 17 points and Jamie Munson with 16 points and 6 rebounds.

#2 Madison Area Technical College, Wis. 27 37 -- 64

Mohawk Valley defeated Madison 70-64 in a thrilling game. The Hawks opened up leads of 14 points in the first half and 11 in the second, but each time the Wolfpack fought back and eventually tied the game at 64 on the 3-pointer from the top of the key by Cassie Paulsen with 51 seconds left on the clock. Jessica Jenkins put back a missed shot on the next possession giving Mohawk Valley what proved to be the winning points. The Hawks placed five players in double figures led by Sarah Gaffney's 11 points, 6 assists and Erica VanWormer with 10 points, 9 rebounds. The Wolfpack from Madison were led by Kim Joshua's 15 points and Cassie Paulsen with 14.
