Mohawk Valley defeated Madison 70-64 in a thrilling game. The Hawks opened up leads of 14 points in the first half and 11 in the second, but each time the Wolfpack fought back and eventually tied the game at 64 on the 3-pointer from the top of the key by Cassie Paulsen with 51 seconds left on the clock. Jessica Jenkins put back a missed shot on the next possession giving Mohawk Valley what proved to be the winning points. The Hawks placed five players in double figures led by Sarah Gaffney's 11 points, 6 assists and Erica VanWormer with 10 points, 9 rebounds. The Wolfpack from Madison were led by Kim Joshua's 15 points and Cassie Paulsen with 14. |
