Head Coach:Matthew St. Croix

Matthew St. Croix, a Watertown native, most recently served as the head men´s basketball coach at Jefferson Community College. He led Jefferson to a 19-11 records last season and a sport in the NJCAA Region III final eight. St. Croix enjoyed a successful four-year playing career at St. John Fisher College, winning three Empire 8 titles and made two NCAA tournament appearances. As a senior, St. Croix was a starting point guard on a team that went 21-4 and lost in the NCAA Division III "Sweet 16." He also played lacrosse at Fisher and graduated as the school´s all-time leading scorer in goals and assists. After his playing career was over, St. Croix started his coaching career at St. John Fisher. As head assistant coach there, the team compiled a two-year record of 55-7. In the 2005 season, the Cardinals finished 28-1. They finished the regular season 28-0 as the only undefeated team in the nation in Division I, Division II, or Division III. While at Fisher, St. Croix was also the head coach of the men’s junior varsity basketball team, leading the Cardinals to an undefeated record. "We are thrilled to welcome a coach of Matthew St. Croix’s caliber," says Athletic Director Gary Broadhurst. "His enthusiasm for the sport and his dedication to the success of our student athletes is very clear. It's going to be another great year for the Hawks."

Assistant Coach:Mike Moran

Mike MoranMike Moran comes to MVCC after a successful four year playing career at Lemoyne College. A native of Watertown, NY Moran played on four NE-10 championship teams from 1999-2003. Mike was a 4 year starter at both Midfield and Attack for the Dolphins and was part of a recruiting class at Lemoyne that went 52-8 in four years. Playing for Coach Dan Sheehan, Mike played in the Final Four in his final two seasons as a Dolphin. In high school, Moran was a 3-time All North selection and played on a Watertown-IHC team that won the Frontier League title. Most recently Mike has served as a Coach at his alma-mater, Watertown-IHC.
