Head Coach: Gary Broadhurst
Mr. Gary Broadhurst has coached the Varsity Golf Team
at MVCC since 1998. Coach Broadhurst started at MVCC in 1979 as a Technical
Assistant in the Physical Education Department until 1987, when he became
an Associate Professor in that department. Mr. Broadhurst went on to become
the Athletic Director in 1996 while still teaching Physical Education and
Recreation classes. In 2002 Coach Broadhurst also took on the responsibilities
of Department Head for Physical Education in addition to being MVCC's Athletic
Director. He has spent time coaching several sports including; Women's Basketball
from 1982 to 1986, and Men's Basketball from 1986 to 1998. He has also coached
the Women's Softball Team at MVCC. Gary was named as the Chairman of the
Board of Directors for Region III of the National Junior College Athletic
Association in the year 2000. Mr. Broadhurst is a 1975 graduate of MVCC,
holding an A.A.S. degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration
in Physical Education. He holds related Bachelor's and Master's degrees
from SUNY Cortland.
