Work Experience at MVCC: 2 years; Full Time Faculty since March 2009, previously Adjunct Instructor, Teaching Assistant and Technical Assistant.
Outside Industrial/Work Experience: 7 years, full time employment as an Aviation Mechanic & Inspector on General Aviation aircraft to include working on medical transport aircraft with additional experience working part time beginning in 1981. 3 1/2 years previous experience as a primary Instructor of Aviation Maintenance Technology, Riverside School of Aeronautics. 1 1/2 years part time consultant to MVCC. In 2004 I was contacted by MVCC to provide information for use in developing an aviation maintenance training program. This consultant work involved detailing the tools, equipment, instructional aides, supplies, sources, prices, and facility requirements to include a review of several prospective locations and proposed floor plan layouts all of which to provide the framework for our program. Additionally advised the college on the process and procedures necessary for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration and the federal regulations. As an AMT instructor, Part of my purpose and goal is to link the educational process for my students as closely as possible to the hands on work experience that is critical to a good understanding for working on aircraft.
Bio: My interests include staying active by participating in a variety outdoor sports and activities.
