International Initiatives Committee

Purpose Statement:  The purpose of the International Initiatives Committee is to foster an understanding of the interconnectedness of global communities by providing education and raising awareness of cultures, heritage, and traditions, and to organize and promote intercultural opportunities for the college community.

The committee works with the MVCC Cultural Events Council to organize and create events that are mentiioned in our charge.  Examples of events organized by the International Initiatives Committee are the MVCC International Festival, International Café and Conversations, International Student Reception, International Book Discussions, International Peace Day lecture, World Music Concerts, in addition to lectures and presentations on global topics.
