Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence Selection Committee

Purpose Statement: The purpose of the Chancellor’s Award Committee for Student Excellence is to strengthen the selection process at the College by developing and maintaining a process for nomination of students who meet the SUNY criteria for the Chancellor’s Award.

Membership (2 year terms for faculty and staff)

  • Faculty Member (even term)
  • Faculty Member (odd term)
  • Faculty Member (even term)
  • Student Services representative (odd term)
  • Student Services representative (even term)
  • Student Activities representative (odd term)
  • Student representative (1 year term)
  • All are appointment of the President
     

DOES

  • Develop appropriate processes and standards for the identification of students that meet the SUNY criteria for the Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence.
  • Communicate information to the college community regarding the nomination process, standards and relevant deadlines.
  • Send nominees the packet/forms to be filled out by the nominees and assist in any way possible.
  • From the nominations returned select those candidates that best represent MVCC. Recommend those nominees to the President and/or the Executive Director of Organizational Development Select

  • Make decisions; discuss personnel issues; discuss contractual issues
