Description: Associate Professor Moore joined MVCC in the Mathematics Dept. as an Instructor in 1981. Ted was admired and respected by his students and peers; he was genuinely trying new techniques, involving all aspects of the educational process and always making himself available for counsel. In December 1996, he was tragically taken from his family, friends, students, and colleagues through the actions of a drunk driver.
Amount Awarded: $250 as tuition credit

  • Must be matriculated
  • Must have completed a minimum of 30 credits
  • Must have a G.P.A. of 2.3 or higher
  • Students must give supportive evidence of why they qualify for this award and submit an essay showing how they demonstrate a broad range of activities and commitment to their community
  • Must be nominated by a member of the faculty or staff for this scholarship
