Description: Upon leaving his congressional seat, Mitchell contributed the remainder of his campaign fund balance to the Community Foundation, for the designated purpose of providing scholarships to those attending HCCC and MVCC.
Amount Awarded: $500 as tuition credit
Criteria Checklist:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time MVCC student
- Must be a resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Hamilton, Schoharie and selected townships in Montgomery, Schenectady and Otsego Counties
- Must have graduated from high school
- Must exhibit academic promise; demonstrate leadership potential; be involved in community affairs and have financial need
